Hip Hop Headucatorz

Educators Practising Hip Hop In and Outside of the Classroom

Dangerous Minds

, ,

Focused on bringing hip hop into the classroom as a teachable tool, Hip Hop Headucatorz are a collective of DJs, producers, emcees, breakers and graffiti artists who develop ready-to-use resources for teachers. As professional educators themselves, they know how hip hop reaches and inspires students. Programmed as part of the NAC’s inaugural Hip Hop Theatre Festival in February 2024, this panel discussion explores how hip hop’s 50-year history and ever-shifting culture can connect with, inspire, and motivate students of all ages.

Rose-Ingrid Benjamin and Marie-Eve Charbonnea introduced the panel and then passed it off to Adrienne Coddett to facilitate the discussion.

On stage from left to right were Jon Corbin, the apologette, MikeAll, and Chase March of Hip Hop Headucators.

Without further ado, here is the video of Dangerous Minds: In Conversation with Hip Hop Headucatorz.

If you’d rather listen to the audio, Chase March did a radio special with this audio and even included his opening DJ mixset and the one that followed the panel for the social that followed it.
