Meet the Hip Hop Headucatorz

Learn more about the 12 members of our crew, arranged in alphabetical order by artist name.

A-Cubed has taught with the Toronto District School Board since 2014. For as long as he can remember, he has loved Hip Hop. He loves how the art form is able to communicate clear messages of positivity and makes sure his verses shine.

Chase March has been teaching since 2003 and has worked in private schools, public boards, and various First Nation communities. He is a DJ, emcee, teacher and librarian. He is the host of Word Is Bond Rap Radio heard every week on 94.9 FM Radio Western in London, Ontario.

I.Khan is the beatsmith of the crew who loves being behind the turntables or soundboard. His work is based on valuing the culture, perspective, and potential of the youth.

Just Sev has taught with the Toronto Catholic District School Board since 2013. Outside the classroom, Sev applies his passion for teaching as a minor league hockey coach.

Matt Dee is the first member of our crew to represent for the breakers. He brings the floor work and dance moves to our live shows and music videos. He is always ready to bust a move.

MikeAll is Scarborough, Ontarian and Toronto Catholic District School Board educator. His goal is to put the poet back into Rhythm And Poetry.

Nettz is a high school teacher from the Toronto Catholic District School Board who has taught a gauntlet of subjects. Together with Rae-C he started a Hip Hop movement at his school called H.Y.P.E (Hip Hop’s Youth Pursuing Excellence) focusing on 3 of the four pillars of Hip Hop: MCing, Dance, and DJing. When he’s not teaching he’s a husband, father, DJ, and professional napper (you read that correctly).

Rae-C is a secondary school teacher with the Toronto Catholic District School Board. A former hip hop dancer, she has moderated her school dance crew for over a decade. A happy wife and proud mother of 2 by day, and a serial meditator by night.

the apologette is a seasoned high school teacher, mother, spoken word artist and emcee whose life experience and passion for performance pours out on the mic. She hopes to raise awareness of gender based and domestic violence, anti-racism and equity for all by using her voice through poetry, social media and in the classroom.

Millionaire, genius, inventor…Tigz is none of these things. Instead, Tigz (who provided cover art and raps) is a humble story-maker from Jane and Finch who likes doodling on walls and eating hamburgers.

Also known as MC Skeletor and DJ Andy Gee, he is an emcee with grey hair for whom MC means Midlife Crisis. During recess, he runs the “Live Poets’ Society” where students write rhymes, produce beats and mix tracks.
