“Six Seven” is a phrase that has taken the world by storm. Our students love to say it and if you ask them why, they simply shrug their shoulders. The truth is, it really doesn’t mean anything. We were a little tired of hearing it and thought, maybe we can give it a reason for existing. What if, we made a song and just referenced things that happened in 1967?
We could make 67 all about the year.
We stylized the spelling to pay homage to Toronto being known as the 6ix, which can refer to the number of boroughs in the city, and the legendary area code 416.
The song is accompanied with ready-to-use resources for your classroom. This booklet contains activities for your students to answer questions, do some research, and respond to this over used phrase. You can download free worksheets and activities to do with your class in the bonus PDF booklet that comes with the song on our Bandcamp page.
