Hip Hop HeadUcatorz were special guests at the Intermediate Leadership in Training Event (I-LITE) this week. The student leadership conference featured motivational speakers, workshops, and a few special performances. It was broadcast across the Toronto Catholic District School Board and seen in classrooms all over the city.

The online conference was a lot of fun. Unfortunately, we had to do it from separate locations and couldn’t perform one of our songs together. Instead, MikeAll and Chase March both took turns spitting an acapella and then addressing the youth about what it means to be a leader.

The entire day’s worth of programming is available to watch on YouTube. There was even an opening DJ who spun some of our music.

I look forward to working with the youth more in the future. It’s always inspiring to see what our talented students are able to do in the school and the larger community.
